Timesheet — Factory Time-Tracking System

Overview

A bespoke time-tracking system for factory operations. Workers clock in via tablet kiosks; managers see live-floor utilisation, payroll exports and shift analytics from the admin dashboard. Runs entirely on Cloudflare Workers + Neon.

The Problem

Off-the-shelf time-tracking SaaS (Deputy, Tanda, ADP) charges per-seat. For a factory with 80+ seasonal workers and high turnover, the per-seat economics break — and most don't handle production-line context (which station, which order).

The Build

A Hono + Workers backend with Drizzle ORM on Neon Postgres. Two interfaces: a kiosk tablet (scan-to-clock) and an admin dashboard for managers. PIN-based auth, station-aware shift tracking, payroll CSV export.

The Outcome

Replaced a $1,400/month SaaS subscription. Now runs at under $20/month on Cloudflare's free tier. Live across two factory sites.
