RouteRun — AI Route Optimisation

Overview

RouteRun is a last-mile delivery optimisation SaaS specialising in cold-chain (food, pharma, biotech). We architected the multi-app monorepo (admin, driver, tracking, web) and the route-engine + cold-chain microservices.

The Problem

Cold-chain delivery has two compounding problems: optimal routing under capacity constraints, and continuous temperature compliance. Existing tools (Onfleet, Routific) handle routing but not cold-chain — and breaches cost five-figure replacements.

The Build

A route engine combining vehicle routing (VRP) with thermal-window constraints, a driver app with live temperature telemetry (Bluetooth probes), and a customer tracking page. Cold-chain breach detection feeds back into the next-day optimisation.

The Outcome

On track for live deployment with 100+ delivery companies across Australia. Beta cohort cut cold-chain breaches by 96.2% and lifted on-time delivery to 99.7%.
